Ramsey, DeHart lead the Talley Campaign Team
The campaign for Randy Talley, candidate for House District 56, has announced a steering committee of district leaders who are passionate about business, agriculture, education, preserving freedom, and faith.

Former State Representative Dan Ramsey, who in 1994 led the first successful campaign to put a Republican in this local district seat since the 1920s, has agreed to co-chair Team Talley. He was co-owner and manager of Mollett-Hunter Insurance in Chickasha, and he founded the Great Plains Insurance Agency in Anadarko. He went on to become CEO of the Independent Insurance Agents of Oklahoma for 17 years.
Construction management pioneer Cary DeHart is serving as co-chair. His Chickasha-based company is a leader in commercial construction, adding more than $150 million in new construction across Oklahoma every year.
Oil and gas mineral manager Charlie Burruss serves as treasurer for the campaign. The Burruss family has made a lasting impact on business and agriculture in the district for decades.
Businessman John Holt with his wife, Lorie, operates one of the largest Chevrolet-GMC-Cadillac dealerships in Oklahoma. Together they host The Salvation Army of Grady and Caddo County’s annual Christmas toy drive.
Hospital executive Kean Spellman of Chickasha has led Grady Memorial Hospital to a revitalization of its facilities and operations during the last seven years. He and his wife, Linda, are passionate about faith, family, conservative principles and prolife causes.
Businessman Mark McPherson owns and operates Mollett Hunter Insurance. He and his wife, Lisa, advocate for business, youth sports, youth ministry and community development.
Retired environmental scientist Jim Talley of Anadarko has addressed safety and leadership principles in 40 countries. He and his wife, Tina, have nine children and 32 grandchildren. Their energies are focused on encouraging integrity in faith, family and government.
Ministry leader Brian Ball operates Oakridge Camp and The Ridge Retreat and Conference Center in Anadarko, serving thousands of campers annually, the U.S. Military, and dozens of denominations and universities across Oklahoma, Texas and beyond. He and his wife, Beth, as well as their five adult children, focus their energies on family and ministry.
Rancher Danny Berkley is a former land developer and home builder and a former missionary to Africa. He and his wife Debbie are devoted to affirming life and family. They have adopted many children from countries across the African continent.
Business owner Mitch Williams built the local flight school, Chickasha Wings, after a long career in the energy industry. He spends his free time in community service and music as a pianist for First Look, a local band. He and his wife, Stacy, have three adult sons.
Farmland appraiser Cody White of Chickasha owns Advantage Consulting and is a managing broker in United Country Farm Service Co. He’s a leader in Oklahoma State University alumni and the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. He and his wife, Aimee, are active in family and church activities.
Col. Doug and Terri Hayworth of Anadarko are active in preserving military history in Oklahoma. Doug Hayworth retired this year after serving 33 years at the Oklahoma Air National Guard base, and three of the couple’s five children are serving in the military. Doug’s last assignment was Vice Wing Commander, and he is working now to establish an Air National Guard museum in Oklahoma. Terri Hayworth is a longtime member of the CK Energy Round Up Board and is a leader in community volunteerism.
Banker and landman Adrian Talley of Blanchard spent seven years in the oil and gas industry before moving to banking. She was actively involved in the Ted Cruz national campaign for president in 2016, and other Republican races.
Randy Talley announced his candidacy for Oklahoma House of Representatives’ District 56 seat in August. With a wide range of support in energy, small business, education, family and faith communities, Talley hopes to represent District 56, which includes parts of Grady, Caddo and Kiowa counties, in the Oklahoma House. The Republican primary is scheduled June 30, 2020.
